How you study
Asynchronous material, weekly live seminars and an AI study assistant available at any hour, following the university’s research-based approach of applied problems, teamwork across cultures and close links with working life.
Self-paced online material
Video, readings and exercises in the student portal or through your AI assistant. Most material is authored by Breathing Fish University; university departments may author parts. Every item is reviewed and approved by the responsible university teacher before you see it.
Weekly live seminars
Led by our staff acting on behalf of the university, scheduled for Asian and Middle East time zones. Fintech and financial-services practitioners join as guest lecturers, each approved by the university.
Virtual trading lab
A simulated multi-asset brokerage that demonstrates dealing, risk and back-office functions, with your own sandbox. Lab results for assessed exercises go straight to the assessment system. Simulation only: no client funds and no inducements to trade.
Study with the AI you already use
Connect the Breathing Fish University plug-in to an AI assistant of your choice that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP), such as ChatGPT or Claude, or apps that run other models. Your assistant can then read approved course material, tell you what to do next, quiz you and book seminars.
The assistant explains and quizzes, but never assesses. Our tools never give it model answers to graded work, marking schemes or exam content, and you use it under the university’s academic integrity rules.
Everything essential also works in the web portal, so you are never dependent on any one AI provider.
Illustrative example. Grey lines are plug-in tool calls.
Marked by the university
The university sets and marks all assessments. Marking is the most important quality gate: the university may delegate defined parts to approved examiners under its moderation, but the responsible university teacher decides every grade.
Coursework
Submitted on a secure upload page with your own-work and AI-use declarations. You receive a time-stamped receipt with a file fingerprint. Similarity checks use the university’s tools.
Written exams
At the end of each module, in person, with identity checks and sealed papers. Remote proctoring would only be used where the university approves an exception.
Grades and appeals
You see grades once the university releases them. Rectification and appeal requests go to the university under its degree regulations, within its deadlines.
Sit exams close to home
Exams are planned at regional centres with in-person identity verification. At check-in, the invigilator matches your face and identity document to the identity verified when you were admitted. Papers are released to a centre only for its session window and handled under logged dual control.
You book a seat through your AI assistant or the portal and confirm the booking on a secure Breathing Fish University page. Requests for special arrangements, such as extra time, are made only in the portal and seen only by the staff who need them.

Part of the university’s quality system
The programme would follow the university’s normal curriculum approval, with student feedback on every module (anonymous to teachers), an annual programme review, and an annual joint report by the university and Breathing Fish University on admissions, progression, completion and complaints.
Induction week
A required, non-credit start: the virtual trading lab, spreadsheets and basics, a mathematics refresher, and academic integrity and AI.
